Sarah completed her MSW at NYU in 1994. She then studied at the Institute for Child, Adolescent and Family Studies and completed a three year course on Psychoanalytic Treatment of Children and Adolescents, graduating in 2005. She completed a fellowship program at the Massachusetts Institute for Psychoanalysis in 2013. She currently serves on the board of the Western Massachusetts and Albany Association for Psychoanalytic Psychology.
Sarah taught child development for 5 years as an Adjunct Professor at Smith College School for Social Work. She presented at the National Association of Social Works local and state conferences. She has presented workshops on Parenting Preschoolers and Mindful Parenting at Northampton Area Pediatrics.
Sarah also co-authored the book "Calling Stormy Feelings: A Child's Introduction To Psychotherapy." This book is for parents who are looking to help ease their child to therapy. It is a great resource for parents who want to communicate effectively with children about feelings and child psychotherapy.
